For all hobby 3D CAD designers and 3D printers out there. Finally there is a new stable release of the free and open source #OpenSCAD (2019.05). This version has been in development for four! long years and has lots of new features such as the Customizer and additions to the language itself.😀

The #Fairphone 3 is looking very interesting with it's modular repairable design and use of recycled and fair materials. The Fairphone 3 has Android 9 on-board but Fiarphone is investigating the possibility to bring the Fairphone Open OS to the Fairphone 3.

My sons college is forcing students to use proprietary Adobe products like Illustrator and Photoshop and this really pisses me off. Any school should offer their students the possibility to use free and open source software and with #Inkscape, #GIMP, #Krita and #Blender there are excellent alternatives available.

Development of Osada, a federated social network, will be abandoned and the instance will close on March 15th. I believe that Mike Macgirvin has choosen to focus on the zot protocol given that his latest endeavor will be based on zot6 without support for any other protocol.
